carbs, hormones... moods

another thing i've noticed is when i'm having hormone surges -that's when i have cravings for sweets, donuts, pastries the most! not only that - they then cause my stomach to be upset, which then causes me to have really moody episodes ... moody not just in being crabby, but thoughts about self-confidence, self-denial ... you start to think about all the negative things that happened in the day ... or bring up negative thoughts, memories

i should eat more veggies!

also - my friends at work, i think i talk about it too much and might be driving them crazy...

but you don't have to change your whole pantry and fridge! start the change very small:
basically - if you added one more serving of veggie to your day than you normally have, you'll do fine!

recently some allergies have been bugging me... a little itchy around my eyes and my ears. and my scalp also. so I've been trying to get back to journaling/tallying my food

in the past, what I've found super helpful for my skin has been low carb. i know it gets a bad rap these days with too much protein and such - but i do good when i'm keeping track of them and keeping them low

also - people think that low carb means low fruit, not true either and there is a lot of fruit out there with really good fiber to help out with the digestion

26 g carbs
3 g fiber

persimmon
31 g carbs
6 g fiber

avocado
17 g carbs
13 g fiber

you have lots of choices - but now you can see, depending on how you feel, one might be more helpful than another

also, the past couple of weeks, i've done a few days of broth for breakfast
it's really great way to start the day for the good fat and stock - nutrition and energy
